By downloading, installing, or using Thinner ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Thinner is a gamified weight loss and habit-building app that provides:

  • A hatchable, nameable cheetah-cub companion that grows as you build habits
  • Daily and weekly quest challenges across habit categories
  • XP, levels, streaks, achievements and reward systems
  • Adventures and collectibles, plus a customizable companion room
  • Progress tracking with a Plan and a Lab view
  • Subscription-based premium features

3. User Accounts

To use Thinner, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Thinner offers subscription plans through the Apple App Store
  • Subscription prices are displayed in the app and may vary by region
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled 24 hours before the renewal date
  • Payments are processed by Apple according to their terms
  • No refunds are provided except as required by law or Apple's policies

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the app for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app
  • Share your account with others
  • Use automated systems to access the app
  • Interfere with the app's normal operation
  • Upload malicious content

6. Health Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Thinner is not a medical app and should not replace professional medical advice.

  • Consult your physician before starting any fitness program
  • The app provides general fitness guidance only
  • We are not responsible for injuries resulting from app use
  • Stop exercising immediately if you feel pain or discomfort

7. Intellectual Property

All content in Thinner is protected by intellectual property laws:

  • The companion character, adventures, collectibles, artwork, animations, and designs are our property
  • Quest content and game mechanics are proprietary
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute app content
  • User-generated content remains your property, but you grant us a license to use it

8. Privacy and Data

Your use of Thinner is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Merchantability
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy of information

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or data
  • Personal injury or property damage
  • Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the app

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app will cease immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
